CA 1 - NI-CATh NON INVASIVE CARDIAC REVASCULARISATION SYSTEM NI-CATh is Non-Invasive Cardiac Angiogenesis Therapy, combining shock wave technology with Angina Pectoris therapy. The treatment is performed using a shock wave generator that is designed to address the unique clinical-anatomical requirements of the chest cavity. A cardiac ultrasound imaging system is used to locate the treatment area and to map the exact position and extent of the ischemic zone. Shock waves are then delivered via the anatomical acoustic window to the treatment area under E.C.G. R-wave gating. Several treatment sessions are required to obtain optimal results. Patients with advanced CAD frequently have recurrent Angina. Surgical and interventional options for these patients typically have been exhausted or will result in only partial revascularization. NI-CATh offers new hope for these patients and provides therapy which complement existing treatment procedures.

CA 4 - PORTABLE HEARTSCAN CORDLESS ECG MONITOR Symptoms such as heart pain, palpitations, and shortness of breath may be signs of heart diseases such as angina or cardiac infarction. With the OMRON Portable HeartScan ECG Monitor, a recording of about 30 seconds can be made when symptoms occur whether at home or away.These recordings can then be shown for information to the doctor, who can examine it and use it for correct diagnosis. From analysis of the waveform some information can be obtained on the presence of arrhythmia or ST-level deviations related to ischaemic heart disease.

CA 5 - BI-DIRECTIONAL INTEROPERATIVE PROBE The New bi-directional Interoperative Probe can be used to immediately confirm blood flow prior to closing, saving time and the potential costs of re-operation. The High Sensetivity probes are available in packs of 3 and can be re-sterilised by Autoclave, EO or Steris. A special electronic adapler resists diathermy interference allows connection to any vascular Doplex Advanced Pocket Dopler. The Dopler can be mounted on an IV Pole.
